How to install it — step by step
Five quick steps from download to your first bill.

Download the installer
Click Download for Windows. It saves
billzova-POS-Setup-1.0.82.exe(about 150 MB) to your Downloads folder. - 2
Open the downloaded file
Double-click the
.exefile. Windows may take a moment to scan it before anything appears. - 3
Pass the “Windows protected your PC” screen
The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows shows a blue “Windows protected your PC” screen. Click More info, then Run anyway.

Install
Keep the suggested install folder (or choose another) and click Install. Setup creates desktop and Start-menu shortcuts named billzova POS.

Sign in and start your free trial
Sign in with your email or mobile number and password (or create an account). Owners and managers may also be asked for a one-time code. Your 30-day free trial starts with full access — no payment details needed.

Is it safe? Yes. The warning appears because the installer isn't code-signed yet — not because anything is wrong. The file downloads straight from billzova's release server over HTTPS.
After you install: your first bill
Most restaurants are billing the same day. This is the usual order of things.
- 1. Add your menuType items in, or import them from an Excel sheet on the web dashboard. Set the GST rate on your items so every bill splits CGST and SGST correctly.
- 2. Set up tablesCreate your areas (hall, AC room, terrace) and tables. Takeaway orders get a token number instead of a table.
- 3. Connect the printerPick the printer and 58 mm or 80 mm paper in Settings, then print a test KOT and a test bill.
- 4. Add staffGive cashiers and captains their own logins with the permissions they need, so the owner's account stays with the owner.
Running more than one counter? Install the app on each Windows PC and sign in with the same restaurant. When the PCs are online, running orders show on all of them, and the day's sales add up in one set of reports. Several branches can be added on request.
How offline billing works
Billing software that stops when the Wi-Fi drops is a problem at 8 pm on a Saturday. The billzova Windows app keeps a local database on your PC and a copy of your menu, tables and settings, so the counter keeps going:
- • Offline: take dine-in and takeaway orders, print KOTs, print GST bills and settle payments.
- • Back online: orders made offline sync to your account on their own — nothing to re-enter.
- • While online: orders sync continuously, so every PC, phone and the dashboard see the same orders.
- • Needs internet: first sign-in, the web dashboard, the shared kitchen display, and QR / website orders.

Connect your printer
Open Settings → Printing in the app and choose how bills and KOTs reach your printer: Silent printer for a USB thermal printer installed in Windows, Network printer (IP) for a Wi-Fi/LAN printer, or the print dialog for anything else. Then pick 58 mm or 80 mm paper.

Is billzova restaurant billing software free?
The download is free, and every new restaurant gets a 30-day free trial with full access — no payment details needed to start. It is not free forever: after the trial the plan is ₹399 per month or ₹3,999 per year (GST included), with every feature in that one plan.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. The Windows app keeps a local database on your PC, so you can take orders, print KOTs and print GST bills with no internet. Orders made offline sync to your account automatically when the connection returns. You need internet for your first sign-in, and to keep the web dashboard, kitchen display and other devices up to date.
Which Windows versions are supported?
Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit. The installer is about 150 MB and runs on an ordinary billing PC or laptop — no high-end hardware needed.
Does it run on Windows 7 or Windows 8?
No. The app is built on Electron 34, which supports Windows 10 and later only, and the installer is 64-bit only. On an older or 32-bit PC, use the billzova Android app on a phone or tablet, or the web POS in a supported browser on another device.
Why does Windows say “Windows protected your PC”?
The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen shows this warning for it. Click More info, then Run anyway. The file comes straight from billzova’s own release server over HTTPS.
Which printers work with it?
Standard 58 mm and 80 mm thermal receipt printers. You can print silently to a USB printer installed in Windows, to a Wi-Fi/LAN printer by its IP address, or through the normal print dialog. The printer buying guide and paper roll guide explain what to buy.
Is there a version for Mac, Android or iPad?
There is no Mac or iPad app. Use the web POS in your browser on those devices. For Android phones and tablets there is a billzova Android app (APK download from billzova.com — it is not on the Play Store yet), which prints to Bluetooth thermal printers.
How do I update billzova POS?
The app tells you when a new version is ready. Click to download it, then install — your bills, menu and settings are kept.
Is this the full version? Is there a cracked version?
The download is the full version — every feature is unlocked during the 30-day trial and stays unlocked on the paid plan; there is no separate “pro” download. There is no cracked billzova, and we would steer clear of cracked billing software from anyone: it can carry malware, it cannot sync or update, and if it breaks you lose your bills and GST records with nobody to call.
Can I install it on more than one PC?
Yes. Install it on each Windows PC and sign in with the same restaurant. When the PCs are online, running orders show on all of them and the day’s sales add up in one set of reports. It is the same plan — there is no extra charge per PC.
